The English Language as an Activating Element in the Teaching of Music Education at Secondary Schools

The bachelor thesis is concerned with the utilisation of the English language as an activating element in the teaching of music education at secondary schools. It analyses the relationship between music and language and provides a theoretical explanation and characterisation of teaching and activating methods. The thesis also examines the Framework Educational Programme for Basic Education and explores possibilities for interdisciplinary connections between music education and the English language. Based on theoretical knowledge, the thesis proposes specific possibilities of application of the English language into music education. These teaching units were subsequently verified in practice and are supplemented by reflection and pupil evaluation. KEYWORDS Music Education, English Language, Activating Methods, Secondary School
Activation methods in the teaching of health education at the 2nd grade of selected elementary schools

The diploma thesis on the theme Activation methods in the teaching of health education at the second grade of a selected primary school deals with activation teaching methods and their use in the teaching of health education at a chosen primary school. The theoretical part deals with basic terminology and describes in detail the individual methods, the way of classification, and the field of health education itself. The practical part consists of the own quantitative research. There was selected a questionnaire survey as a research tool in the second grade of the Karel Jeřábek Elementary School in Roudnice nad Labem, specifically in the 8th and 9th grades. The aim of the research was to map the level of use of activation methods in the teaching of health education at the given school. The sub-goals were to find out what are the most used activation methods within the teaching to health education at a given school, the difference in the subjective perception of activation between pupils and the teacher of a given subject, to compare the representation of activation methods between individual teachers and to find out the degree of use of ICT technologies as an activation element. Activating Methods in Teaching Human Biology in Lower Secondary Education (ISCED 2) as a Mean of Interdisciplinary Relations of Biology and Physical Education

Objectives: To find basic information and the concept of interdisciplinary teaching and its possible inclusion in lessons. Describe selected activation methods in teaching in general and in teaching human biology. To analyze selected frequently used textbooks for pupils of the 2nd grade of elementary school, containing the topic of the muscular system as a suitable topic for the interdisciplinary connection of biology and physical education in the context of the frequency of impulses for the implementation of physical activities and containing the interdisciplinary connection of the above mentioned subjects. Design and implement the teaching of the muscular system with activation methods and cross-curricular elements and find out what the students' attitude towards it is. Using a knowledge test, compare pupils who have completed activation and interdisciplinary teaching with pupils who have undergone frontal theoretical teaching of the same topic. Methods: Two methods were used for the research investigation. Educational computer game, its creation and use use teaching of thematic unit Water

The thesis deals with the creation and use of an educational computer game in teaching the thematic unit Water in the teaching of inorganic chemistry at the second level of primary schools. The aim is to convey selected knowledge to pupils in an attractive form, or to practice this knowledge, to develop inter-subject relations, to activate pupils and to strengthen their key competences by means of didactic procedure. The game story takes place in the environment of the town of Mariánské Lázně. The player is continuously introduced to the geographical and historical attractions of this location. Due to the storyline's connection to a specific location, the educational process is in line with the principles of place-based learning. The theoretical part consists of an analysis of the literature on the topic of place-based learning and STEM subjects. The acquired knowledge represents the theoretical framework of the practical part, where a description of the created game and verification of its use in pedagogical practice is presented. The research was conducted in a questionnaire form.
Teaching Program on the Topic of the Respiratory System for Elementary Schools Using Activation Methods

The diploma thesis deals with the topic of the respiratory system and its inclusion in the teaching of natural sciences. The topic of the respiratory system can be quite abstract for pupils in terms of gas exchange or overall anatomy of the respiratory system. In the context of today's time of global pandemic, is important topical topic. In the theoretical part, the thesis deals with the analysis of the problems of the respiratory system, the analysis and content of this topic in the FEP for basic education. Within the theoretical part, classical and activating teaching methods were also analyzed, which were crucial for the subsequent creation of the educational program. The aim of the practical part of the thesis was to create and verify the proposed educational program on the topic of the respiratory system at primary school. This research was carried out in the 8th grade of elementary school and the phenomenon examined was their conceptual understanding, which was verified on the basis of mind maps before, after and with a time interval after the teaching program. Reproductive system in Human biology lessons at secondary school

This diploma thesis deals with the topic of teaching the human reproductive system at secondary schools both in the Czech Republic and in selected German federal states, Bavaria and Saxony. The aim was first to discover the differences in teaching the reproductive system among the chosen countries and secondly to create own teaching units regarding this topic and utilize them in classes. The differences between Czech, Saxon, and Bavarian types of teaching were supported by curricular documents and a questionnaire distributed among teachers from selected countries. Czech curricular documents outline the teaching of the reproductive system more briefly compared to the German ones. The questionnaire provided specific information incorporating the methods used in teaching. Furthermore, this diploma thesis contains two fully designed teaching units, including both materials for students and methodological instructions for teachers. The practical implementation of the proposed teaching units is evaluated at the very end of this thesis.

The present degree work deals with the topic "Creative Teaching Concepts of the Education of the Whole Preparation of the Dishes in Primary School Education". In the theoretical part i focus on the following main three areas. The first part dwells on activation methods in primary school education. The second part describes the educational range The Preparation of Meals According to General Educational Programme. The third and final part deals with the theory of creativity in technical education in primary schools. The practical part contains six subjects which are concentrated on the meals preparation, the excursions related to the meals preparation and the basis of etiquette. The created topics are designed for pupils of primary 1 - 4 classes. The contents of the practical part consists of the detailed description of the meals preparation, the excursions related to the food processing, and the evaluating work sheets.

The bachelor's thesis "Student activation in relation to group work in biology lessons" discusses the essence of student activation and the importance of group work with elements of cooperation. The work contains the definition of activation, active learning, group cooperation and work in it. It gives examples of models and methods supporting student activation, which are also suitable for group work in biology lessons. Among other things, it points to the use of these models and methods as support in schools in the post-covid period.
